Tell it like it is
Bringing product descriptions to life can be a challenge, especially when you've got 50+ similar products on deck to make sound cool and interesting. How do you make a basic tee the best tee there ever was?
My go-to plan of attack: talk real life. Help people see what they're getting and why it's worth the money. Since we can't physically shake every customer's hand and make them fall in love with the product, it's necessary to have something that sets you apart as a business. Product descriptions are fun ways to help the audience get to know who you are and what you're about.
Here's an example of a description I wrote for Alternative Apparel's "Heritage Tee":
Lightweight, breathable, timeless. This tee is the first thing you grab when you open your closet. It also always seems to be in the laundry. There’s not a lot of explanation needed beyond that. Except, buy more than one. You won’t regret it.
